As part of the events of the Council of Young Scientists of the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Faculty of Architecture and Construction, a seminar on "New methods of photogrammetric processing of images from UAVs" was held at the Department of Geodesy and Cartography with the participation of senior lecturer, Assistant Professor of the Faculty of Construction Technologies, Infrastructure and Management KazGASA Bazylbekov Ayan. The seminar provided general information about unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), their scope of application, classification of types and devices of UAVs.
And the trends in the development of UAVs in Kazakhstan and the world as a whole were also considered, including the features of the use of UAVs of the "Geoscan" type were studied in detail.
The most interesting topics that were announced at the seminar:
• Geoscan unmanned complexes and their application in geodesy, agriculture, cadastre, geology, etc.;
• The possibility of photogrammetric work on Agisoft software;
• Cluster and cloud image processing, artificial intelligence, thermal imaging and magnetometric surveys;
There was also a question and answer session, where undergraduates and 4th year students were particularly active.
